Microsoft Windows 10 hides specific files from your view in order to perform the function of preventing them from being deleted and damaged. First Way – Through File Explorer

1. Press the “Start” button. Then choose “File Explorer.”

2. Make sure the menu bar is expanded. ForToggling the menu bar, click on the ^ at the upper right side of the window.

3. Press the “View” tab.

4. Click to Show hidden files and folders.

5. In case you want to view more files, select “Option” > “View”.

Second Way – Through Control Panel

1. Press the Start menu. Select “Control Panel.”

2. Head over to “Appearance and Personalization” and after that, click on “File Explorer.”

3. Click the “View” tab.

4. Navigate below and change the “Hidden files and folders” to “Show hidden files, folders and drives.”

Third Way – Via Registry

1. Hold the Windows Key and press “R” on the keyboard to go to the “Run” dialog box.

2. Type “regedit” and press “Enter.”

3. Go to the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Software

Microsoft

Windows

CurrentVersion

Explorer

Advanced

4. Configure the value for “Hidden” to “1.” This will show hidden files, folders, and drives.

Make the value to “2” if you do not wish to show hidden files, folders, and drives.

 

  1. Configure the value for “ShowSuperHidden” to “1” if you wish to show protected operating system files. To not see protected Windows files, Set the value to “2.”office.com/setup
