  3. Enter “RegEdit” in the Open text box.

  5. The Registry Editor will be launched.
  6. Refer to steps 8 to 14 from the Windows 8.1/8 method.

Technique of Re-registering the Windows Installer(For Windows 8.1/8)

  1. press the Operating system key.
  2. Type “CMD” in the Search Box.
  3. Click on the Application icon.
  4. Right-click the Command Prompt and click on “Run as administrator” icon.
  5. Type the below commands in the given systemtic order:

%windir%\system32\msiexec.exe/unregister

%windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe/unregister

%windir%\sytem32\msiexec.exe/regserver

%windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe/regserver.

  1. Close Command Prompt.
  2. Press on the windows key + C.
  3. Click the Setting icon and then the power icon, in the Charms Bar.
  4. Restart the device.

  5. Restart the device for the change to take effect.

Technique  of Renaming Msisip.dll File (For Windows 8.1/8/7/ Vista)

 

  1. Double click the PC icon.
  2. Type “Command Prompt” in the Search Box.
  3. Select Run as an administrator, and then press right click from the Search Results.
  4. Right-click the file that gets displayed under the Search Results.
  5. click on the Open containing folder from the context list.office.com/setup
  6. Rename the said file as “Msisip.dll.old”
  7. Restart the device.
